On April 2, 2022 Billy Evans’ family, friends, and fellow members of the U.S. Capitol Police joined political leaders and other dignitaries to commemorate the one-year anniversary of Bill’s murder while defending the Capital Complex. A plaque with an image of Bill now adorns a granite slab located at the Capital Building. The monument will forever remember Bill’s sacrifice. The effort was spearheaded by Senators Amy Klobouchar (D-MN) and Mitt Romney (R-UT).
